Cedar Point Theme Park

One of the most popular attractions in the Midwest is Cedar Point, which is located in Sandusky, Ohio. Cedar Point is a theme park that boasts a variety of rides, specializing in roller coasters. Known as “America’s Roller Coast,” the park attracts millions of visitors each year.

For those not familiar with the park, it can be compared to a Six Flags of some sort, but bigger than any of those yet smaller than Disney Land or Disney World.

The main attraction to this park is the thrilling rides that they have. Leading the way are two rides known around the world: The Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. The former was the tallest roller coaster in the world when built, and the latter is now known as the fastest in the world. Both give a rush to the riders that you won’t find everywhere.

In Cedar Point, there’s something for everyone in the family. There’s a children’s section of the park, plus a variety of less-scary roller coasters for those older kids not quite ready for the big ones yet. You don’t have to be a thrill seeker to enjoy this big park.

The park is open during the summer, and then reopens on the weekends all the way up to Halloween for a thing called “Hallo-weekends.” Those are always a fun time as long as it isn’t too cold.

Just make sure to pack a jacket in case it gets chilly when you are climbing the hills of the tallest roller coasters.

Safety Measures When Going With Kids
Are you going to Cedar Point with the kids in the near future? If you do, you need to remember a few things to make sure that they are safe, but at the same time still have as much fun as you want. Contrary to belief, you don’t have to sacrifice all the fun by constantly having to chase them around the park.

1) The first thing you have to keep in mind is the types of clothing that you are going to bring. If you are going in August, the weather can be a bit unpredictable, so make sure that you bring the right apparel to keep the kids warm or cool. Also, make sure that all of you wear comfortable shoes to withstand walking in concrete for hours. This is not only for you to be comfortable, but also to prevent the kids from suddenly throwing tantrums and refuse to walk anymore.

2) Cedar Point has a really nice safety service which you can do to have a piece of mind with your kids. The will give your kids the KidTrack wristbands on which your cellphone number is written, so if ever they are separated from you, the responsible officials can easily track you down to let you know where your kid is. This being said, always make sure that your phone is turned on just in case any kind of emergency happens.

3) Have your kids “measured” so that upon arriving in the park, you already know which rides you can try together, and which ones you should avoid. You can have this done at the Park Operations and get a wristband for your kids so the process of riding the roller coasters will be easier.

4) Eat at kid-friendly zones, which are located everywhere in the amusement park. Your kids will enjoy the kiddie meals n Kiddy Kingdom and Camp Snoopy, but you can also bring your own picnic and have a homemade meal as a family in the picnic grounds just outside the park. Avoid the crowd by adjusting your meal times. The busiest hours are at noon and at around 5 pm.

5) If you need help with the expenses, you can also make use of Cedar Point coupons. These are available online or offline. The coupons may be able to help you with the admission ticket prices, different park merchandises, and even food expenses. These will surely make your visit more fun, and should relieve some of that stress from keeping the kids safe all the time.
